Exploring the Future of Sensing With Memristor Technology: Leveraging Cut-in for Enhanced Performance Maitri Prajapati, Margi Solanki, Kinjal Patel, Kinjal Patel, Keyur Patel, et al. Chemistryselect, 2026 ABSTRACT Electronics traditionally used resistors, capacitors, and inductors. Professor Chua introduced the memristor, completing the circuit by linking charge to magnetic flux. This ‘memory resistor’ adapts its resistance based on past voltage, showing promise for radiation sensing applications due to its sensitivity and memory. The study of memristive‐based sensors has quickly become a promising subject during the last decade. The development of innovative sensor concepts is highlighted in this review paper; some concepts have been built, produced, and shown, while others have been simulated. Numerous memristive conductivity‐based sensing techniques have been put forth; some have been applied to several sensor designs, while others have only been proven once. The paper outlines the field's history over the past ten years, critically evaluates the fundamental concepts and applications, reviews significant turning points, and offers in‐depth insights into various sensor kinds.
Titanium dioxide (TiO2) as a potential material in memristor for gamma (γ) ray detection Margi Solanki, Usha Parihar, Kinjal Patel, Vishva Jain, Shyam Sunder Sharma, Jaymin Ray Chemical Physics Impact, 2025 In the field of Resistive Random Access Memory (RRAM), memory computing at low voltage operating condition is the requirement of best switching circuits. They should be a part of non-volatile system, too. Apart from these, RRAM is also providing big platform of sensing applications. In that case, Memristor is a keystone of RRAM, which can remembers the amount of charge that has previously flowed through it. That is why memristor is being chosen to take responsibility of sensing. By a little change in memristor we can make it to almost real time radiation detector. Here memristor is particularly design for gamma rays sensing. Basically memristor act like a sensing switch in RRAM. Memristor is prepared using sandwich structure of silver (Ag)/Metal Oxide/Copper (Cu). This has a micro-thick layer of Metal Oxide, and metal strips form of Ag and Cu. To achieve micro-thick layer of Metal Oxide using sol-gel processed drop casting method is used. However, many more techniques are there for the preparation of device quality film. The presented review aims to understand the detection mechanisc of gamma (γ) rays with accuracy and creating stable memristor based on TiO 2 as a metal oxide sensing element. Further, the influence of thickness, of TiO 2 Metal Oxide, on sensing will be elaborated.
Enhancing Dye Degradation Property of MoO3 Nanoplates by Vanadium Doping Vishva Jain, Yash Doshi, Mona Shah, Jaymin Ray, Abhitosh Kedia, Kinjal Patel, Dimple Shah Ecs Advances, 2023 Nanomaterial based water degradation is becoming as a promising option in comparison to conventional water degradation methods. MoO3 nanoparticles have been used as a nano adsorbent for methylene blue (MB) removal from aqueous solution. Here, effect of vanadium (V) element doping in MoO3 on adsorption activity against MB was studied. 2%, 4%, 6% and 8% of V element doped MoO3 nanoparticles were synthesized using surfactant free chemical method. All the synthesized nanoparticles were well characterized through different analysis tools to study their structural, morphological, and optical properties. Stability of particles in water with respect to time was also studied by zeta potential. Adsorption activity of all the samples were carried out and 8% doped MoO3 nanoparticle was found to be most efficient. Moreover, the regeneration and reusability test of 8% doped MoO3 nanoparticle was also successfully carried out.
