Luiz Gonzaga de França Lopes
Graduated in Chemistry Bachelor's degree from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (1992) and PhD in Physical-Chemistry from the University of São Paulo (1997). He did a postdoc in the United States, 1997-1998 at Boston College and was a visiting researcher between 2010-2011 at the National Cancer Institute / NIH / United States. He was director of the inorganic chemistry division of the Brazilian Chemical Society (2012-2014), adjunct secretary (2018-2020), and current vice president of SBQ. He was coordinator of the Graduate Programs in Inorganic Chemistry (2003-2008) and in Chemistry (2009-2010; 2015-2020). He is currently a full professor at the Federal University of Ceará. Associate Editor of the journal Química Nova. Member of the BASis / INEP evaluator bank. He has experience in the area of ​​Chemistry, with an emphasis on Bio-Inorganic Chemistry, working mainly on the following topics: NO-releasing mechanics, sGC activators, metallic mechanical anti-tuberculostatic agents, etc.
