Diogo received a degree in Pharmacy from Federal University of Pernambuco in Brazil (2005) and a PhD in Chemistry in the same University (2012). During his PhD program, he held for 2-years as a prestigious Fulbright Scholar, studying at Drexel University in Philadelphia (USA). From 2012 to 2014, he was a Pasteur International Network Pos-doctoral Scholar in Brazil. Since 2014, he is a Permanent Scientist at Fiocruz in Brazil, a public health foundation and a member of the Pasteur International Network. Dr. Diogo has since then worked on the medicinal chemistry, pharmaceutical development and applied pharmacology for parasitic infectious diseases, especially for malaria. He is co-author of 80 original papers highlighted in 10 cover issues and has advised 40 undergrad, masters and PhD students. His work is supported by Brazilian agencies, as well as by the UK Royal Society and by the Germany DFG agency. As the Head of the Malaria Program, he had established a long-term collaborative netw
