  • Role of Artificial Intelligence in Waste Management
    Diksha Srivastava
Solid Waste Management Challenges Sustainability and Advancements, 2026
Waste disposal and management is one of the major challenges faced today in attaining sustainable development goals. Due to uncontrolled waste generation either by the domestic or industrial sectors, waste management is the need of the hour. Deteriorating environmental and public health conditions due to improper waste management systems pose a great threat to the current situation. An integrated waste management system combined with artificial intelligence (AI) provides a great solution to improve the current strategies and policies adapted for waste management in most countries. Artificial intelligence not only speeds up the rate of waste management but also improves the quality of management by better identification, segregation and accurate recycling of the waste generated. AI helps not only in waste recycling but also in developing and innovating new technologies as per the situation demand, consumer behavior pattern and waste generation pattern analysis. This chapter will provide a detailed overview of the use of artificial intelligence for efficient waste management for encouraging sustainable development.

People today are more likely to put their trust in devices that can be operated automatically, one such applicationis in the agricultural sector. The researchers developed an intelligent irrigation control system to help with water conservationand reduce the amount of manual work necessary. As a platformfor the Internet of things (IoT), it takes use of Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN) and a specialized server to do its tasks. In order to increase operational efficiency and production in the agricultural sector, the use of IoT and WSN is being implemented. The purpose of this study is to present a programmed watersystem with a framework for the terrains that will reduce the amount of manual labour while simultaneously optimizing theamount of water used and enhancing crop output. In order tomeet the needs of farmers more efficiently, we offer an algorithmfor autonomous watering. The system's user interface is tailored to the need so farmers, and it delivers data from the field to them via a variety of channels, including a screen-based interface, mobile phones, and a web portal. Among its many successes is a92% increase in accuracy, which translates to a noticeable boost in yields.

5g Based Smart Hospitals and Healthcare Systems Evaluation Integration and Deployment, 2023
Athletes who push their bodies to the limit need to be in tip-top shape to compete. Before engaging in strenuous activity or competition, they should focus on building a healthy body. The ubiquitous availability of smartphones, recent advancements in computational, and artificial intelligence (AI) technologies, and the rising trends in multimedia and edge computation have all contributed to the emergence of new models and paradigms for wearable devices. Researchers have provided a diverse array of analytical methodologies centering on athlete health; however, neural networks have been applied in just a fraction of the completed investigations. Using recurrent neural networks and wearable technology, we offer a new method for forecasting the health of football players. One of the earliest uses of wearable sensors for athletes’ training and health, the suggested system keeps tabs on the players’ well-being in real time. After feeding the time-step data into a recurrent neural network (RNN) and extracting deep features from it, a set of health prediction results is returned. This study involves a number of experiments, the results of which are dependent on the players’ health data. The proposed method is shown to be practical and reliable through simulation results. The study's algorithms can form the basis of data-driven monitoring and instruction. The chapter finishes with a discussion of potential research approaches and future directions for the smart wearables sector.
  • MACHINE LEARNING AND BLOCK CHAIN MODEL FOR SUPPLYING FOOD PRODUCTS AND MAINTAIN FOOD QUALITY
    B. Nancharaiah, Diksha Srivastava, Sathya Narayanan Velmurugan, Mohit Tiwari, Kanchi Lakshmi, et al.
Carpathian Journal of Food Science and Technology, 2023
Businesses in the food industry cannot succeed without an effective means of keeping track of their products' whereabouts. A food monitoring system is a relatively new blockchain-based software that aims to assist in the battle against deception. Many of the systems presently used in the food manufacturing business are inadequate concerning usefulness, adaptability, and dependability. Similar to the preceding case, this part of the supply chain is particularly time-consuming due to the additional intricacies it introduces. When applied to the supply chain system currently under construction, blockchain technology presents a novel idea that is essential in solving the afore mentioned problems. Authors propose a blockchain and machine learning-based food tracing system (BMLFTS) for managing fragile food that integrates cutting-edge developments in blockchain Machine Learning technology (ML), and a fuzzy logic monitoring system built on top of the shelf-life management system. In this case, the technique would be used to track down possibly tainted food items. Bulk condensation loss, storing area needs, and transportation periods are just some of the problems that the proposed system aims to address with the help of blockchain technology. As an example of how AI can be used to handle the complexity of product monitoring, data will be sent over a network. At last, a supply chain is utilizing accurate and reliable data to increase the longevity of a product's expiration life.
