EDUCATION

Baburaj Baskar, received his MSc degree (General Chemistry) from the Presidency College, University of Madras (1998). He then moved to Indian Institute of Technology Madras to obtain his PhD at the Department of Chemistry in the year 2005 (With Prof. Anju. C). Next, he did his couple of post doctoral works, one at the Department of Chemistry, Pohang University of Science and Technology (POSTECH), Pohang, South Korea (with Professor: Young Ho Rhee) and other at the Department of Chemical Biology, Max Planck Institute of Molecular Physiology, Dortmund, Germany (with Dr. Kamal Kumar; Prof. Herbert Waldman’s Group).

Asymmetric Synthesis, Photoredox Catalysis (both homogeneous and heterogeneous), Flow Chemistry, Synthetic Methodology Development and Natural Product Synthesis.
