Uncovering the secrets of sustainable performance: Empirical studies on ethical behaviour, fortitude culture, ambidextrous governance and digital innovation using combined importance-performance map analysis Astadi Pangarso, Akhmad Yunani, Taufan Umbara, Robbi Hendriyanto, Kristina Sisilia, Sonny S. Panutur Sustainable Futures, 2025 Sustainable performance is essential for organisational success in the contemporary era. This study examines the impact of ethical behaviour and a culture of fortitude on ambidextrous governance and digital innovation, contributing to enhanced sustainable performance. Nonetheless, the influence of these issues on digital telecommunications companies has not been comprehensively examined. The study utilises an online survey to collect data from a sample of 430 employees at a digital telecommunications firm in Indonesia. Using the combined importance-performance map analysis (cIPMA), which comprises partial least squares structural equation modelling (PLS-SEM), importance-performance analysis (IPMA), and necessary condition analysis (NCA). The findings suggest that a culture of fortitude, ambidextrous governance, and digital innovation are crucial for attaining sustainable performance. However, digital innovation, while still important, play a smaller role than a culture of fortitude and ambidextrous governance in terms of their influence on sustainable performance. cIPMA also backs up the idea that fortitude culture, ambidextrous governance, and digital innovation all have good effects on long-term performance. To the best of the author's knowledge, this research may be part of the beginning of integration PLS-SEM with IPMA and NCA to explore the interplay among ethical behaviour, fortitude culture, ambidextrous governance, digital innovation and their influence on sustainable performance.
Modeling Employee Performance through High Performance Work Systems and Digital Intelligence Vika Febrian, Astadi Pangarso, Rah Utami Nugrahani, Angelina Seow Voon Yee Proceeding 2025 4th International Conference on Creative Communication and Innovative Technology Empowering Transformative Mature Leadership Harnessing Technological Advancement for Global Sustainability Iccit 2025, 2025 This research is motivated by the importance of exploring the factors that influence employee performance in the financial services industry in the digital era. This research targeting to determine the effect of the High-Performance Work System (HPWS) and Digital Emotional Intelligence (DEI) on employee performance at XYZ Bank. This research employs associative quantitative methods. A survey was delivered to 86 permanent workers using the non-probability sampling approach. Data analysis methods include descriptive analysis and multiple linear regression. According to the findings of hypothesis testing, HPWS has a substantial influence on employee performance, while DEI does not affect employee performance. This research adds to our understanding of the impact of HPWS and DEI on employee performance in the digital banking business.
University 4.0 and competences of future: A review Astadi Pangarso Innovation in the University 4 0 System Based on Smart Technologies, 2024 The phrase “University 4.0” refers to how higher education institutions are being transformed by technology. Building on the first three phases of university development, we now have University 4.0. University 2.0 introduced e-learning and online platforms, University 3.0 included the use of social media, while the lecture-based teaching approach typified University 1.0. By mixing cutting-edge technology, such as artificial intelligence, virtual and augmented reality, and the Internet of Things (IoT), into the teaching and learning process, University 4.0 furthers these advancements. Technology, data, and digital literacy are integrated into every facet of the academic experience in universities that have adopted the “4.0” model. Examples of emerging technology are artificial intelligence, virtual and augmented reality, and the Internet of Things. This systematic literature review (SLR) aims to give a broad overview of the body of knowledge about university 4.0. Academic databases from Scopus were thoroughly searched. To the author's knowledge, there is no review research about the search terms "University 4.0" and “competence” or “competency” in the Scopus database. To help further guide future research objectives, this research is anticipated to contribute to synthesizing previous research on University 4.0. The only fully downloaded journal papers used to get secondary data. The bibliometric analysis and content analysis are the foundations of the SLR. This systematic literature review provides a summary and future directions of the present research on University 4.0. A bibliometric and content analytic approach was used to study the papers to pinpoint the main topics and subthemes associated with University 4.0. The implementation of University 4.0 is not without its difficulties, though. These difficulties include the necessity for extensive infrastructure and resource investments, as well as the requirement that faculty and staff acquire new abilities and skills in order to properly use cutting-edge technologies. The evaluation also suggests several topics for further study on University 4.0. These include the need for more empirical research to assess the success of University 4.0 initiatives, for more research on the moral ramifications of using cutting-edge technologies in higher education, and for more research on how university 4.0 will affect the future job market and the skills and competencies necessary for success in the digital age. In summary, this SLR analysis offers a thorough overview of the body of knowledge on university 4.0. The review offers various areas for further study of University 4.0. The research findings indicate that University 4.0 gives a big opportunity for higher education institutions to adjust to the quickly changing digital landscape and give their students the skills and competencies necessary for success in the digital age. Yet, putting University 4.0 into practice calls for thorough preparation, financial commitment, and a dedication to continuous innovation and adaptation.
Enhancing Sustained Competitive Advantage in Indonesian Non-vocation Private Tertiary Education Institutions Astadi Pangarso, Endang Siti Astuti, Kusdi Raharjo, Tri Wulida Afrianty Sage Open, 2024 The impact of KIC (knowledge infrastructure capability) on KAC (knowledge absorption capacity), KIC on KAC, and AIN (ambidextrous innovation) on SCA (sustainable competitive advantage) has been studied in different contexts and countries, yielding varying results. Therefore, the generalizability of research findings should be carefully scrutinized. As far as the researchers know, empirical research on a theoretical framework on the effect of KIC and SCA mediated sequentially by KAC and ambidextrous innovation (AIN) remains lacking. This study investigates the impact of KIC, KAC, AIN, and SCA. A theoretical framework was built to empirically test the impact of KIC on SCA mediated by KAC and AIN. A survey used a saturated sample of 55 multi-raters from non-vocation private tertiary education institutions unit of analysis in Indonesia. Partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) is a statistical technique utilized to evaluate and test hypotheses within a particular theoretical framework. The study results indicate a positive and significant influence sequentially between KIC on KAC, KAC to AIN, and AIN to SCA. Knowledge management produces innovations that ultimately increase competitiveness. The findings of this empirical study establish a basis for future research that will demonstrate the direct causal relationship between KIC, KAC, and AIN within the context of the Indonesian non-vocational private tertiary education sector (INVPTES) in the province of West Java. Sequentially, KIC, KAC, and AIN are the keys to improving SCA.
