International Journal of Kinesiology and Sports Science, 2026
Background: Virtual Reality (VR) offers athletes immersive, interactive environments to train physically and mentally, enabling skill and strategy practice in simulated match situations while minimizing real-world risks. Objective: The study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of Virtual Reality (VR) coaching on the physical and psychological attributes of young female footballers. Methodology: Eighty adolescent female football players participated in a quasi-experimental design that lasted six months. They were divided into four groups: Blended Coaching, Traditional Coaching, VR-Assisted Coaching, and Self-paced Online Modules. Validated field-based tests, such as the Illinois Agility Test (change-of-direction ability), Yo-Yo Intermittent Recovery Test Level 1 (aerobic endurance), and the 30-m Sprint Test (speed; ICC = 0.91), were used to quantify physical qualities. Standardised tools such as the Sport Confidence Inventory (α = .86), Group Environment Questionnaire (α = .89) and Perceived Stress Scale–10 (stress; α = .78) were used to assess psychological traits. Under carefully monitored testing settings, data were gathered at baseline (T1), mid-intervention (T2, 3 months), and post-intervention (T3, 6 months). Analysis employed the PROMETHEE method to rank the four coaching methods based on six weighted criteria. Results: The analysis indicated that Blended Coaching ranked highest with the most favorable net flow score, suggesting it is the most effective method among the alternatives. VR-Assisted Coaching ranked second, Traditional Coaching third, and Self-paced Online Modules last. Conclusion: The results highlight the significant positive impact of integrating VR technology with traditional coaching on enhancing the physical and psychological attributes of young female footballers.

Purpose: The purpose of this research was to estimate Patellofemoral Joint Dysfunction in obese postmenopausal women. Methods: Depending on selection criteria, 100 obese postmenopausal women were selected by simple random sampling method. Written consent was taken and a detailed outcome assessment was done by using a Numerical Pain Rating Scale for pain assessment, Range of motion of hip, knee, ankle joint, Waldron Test, Eccentric Step-down Test, and Quadriceps angle. Statistical analysis was done and results were obtained. Findings: Among the 100 participants, 63% of women experienced pain during their daily activities. The mean pain intensity at rest was 2.25 ± 1.91, and during activity, it increased to 3.28 ± 6.60 (p value < 0.0001). The range of motion in the hip, knee, and ankle joints was reduced compared to that of individuals in the same age group without pain. Specifically, Hip extension-adduction, knee extension, and ankle plantarflexion-inversion-eversion had a p value of <0.0001. For hip flexion-abduction-medial and lateral rotation, knee flexion, and ankle dorsiflexion, the p values were 0.0003, 0.1952, 0.0001, 0.003, 0.0392, and 0.0333. Additionally, 35% of women had quadriceps angles greater than 180 degrees, while the remaining 65% had angles less than 180 degrees. 63% of women exhibited crepitus during activities like stair climbing and walking. 52% of women tested positive on the Waldron Test. 60% of women showed positive findings on the Eccentric Step-down Test. Conclusion: It concluded that there is significant Patellofemoral Joint Dysfunction in obese postmenopausal women.

International Journal of Human Movement and Sports Sciences, 2024
This study aims to test the success of archery training in the new normal era using Self Video in the field and online classes. Online classes focus on overlooking revisions of technicalities in the field. The method used in this study was an experiment with a total of 60 archery athletes. The design of this study is a one-group pretest-posttest design to determine the difference between the average results of the initial test and the final test results. The steps after the initial test were then given treatment, namely a mixed exercise strategy with a 40-meter archery test procedure. The blended training strategy is a combination of field and online exercises for 16 meetings, including 7 online meetings and 7 field meetings and 2 pre test and post test implementation meetings to facilitate access to classroom exercises, especially in adapting to new life arrangements during the pandemic. The 40-meter distance is one of the numbers that is always competed in the elimination round from the last 16 to the final of the national round of single archery or double Self Video. The findings of this study can be in the form of differences in the average archery training of athletes from the results of the comparison of the average pre-test (18.30 points) with the average post-test (22.53 points). The findings indicate a notable disparity in archery performance, especially when comparing the outcomes achieved at a 40-meter distance via field training vs. online strategy seminars using conventional strategies. Discover application-oriented research on video and revised action communication inside the field.
