Dayang Hajyrayati binti Awg Kassim is a lecturer from the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, specializing in anthropology and sociology. She earned her Bachelor's degree with honors from the University of Malaya, majoring in Southeast Asia Studies and minoring in Anthropology and Sociology. With a Master's in Philosophy from the National University of Malaysia, her research focuses on critical issues such as gender studies, statelessness, migration, and the preservation of indigenous knowledge.
