    Applied Machine Learning in Healthcare Case Based Approach, 2025
    Drug response prediction based on deep learning, which aggregates multi-omics data, drug molecules, and gene interactions, represents an advanced frontier between artificial intelligence (AI) and healthcare. The potential of changing personalized medicine and drug discovery is explored. It leverages the power of deep neural networks to handle complex multi-omics data, providing more accurate patient profiles at the individual level. It integrates drug molecular properties, gene interactions and genetics, transcriptomic patterns, proteomic expression, and metabolic profiles. This is a comprehensive approach to precisely predict the drug responses, minimizing the drug’s adverse effects and maximizing the treatment’s benefits. Although it demonstrates impressive predictive abilities, data quality, model interpretability, and ethical considerations are challenges. However, it is still in development and is widely used in cancer treatment, pharmacokinetics, and drug candidate identification, promising a more targeted treatment in the future.
