Biography
PhD Student in the Graduate Program in Ethnobiology and Nature Conservation. Holds a Master’s degree in Biodiversity from the Federal Rural University of Pernambuco (2024) and a Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences from the Federal University of Pernambuco (2021). My research interests focus on the evolution of human medicinal behavior. During my master’s studies, I investigated intentional gestural communication in common marmosets (Callithrix jacchus), receiving the Robert Glaser Travel Grant from the Gesellschaft für Primatologie and support from the Animal Behavior Collective. I am currently investigating the origins of local human medical systems by comparing medicinal behavior in humans and non-human primates.
