Biography

Dr. Umesha Naik is currently working as an Associate Professor and Chairman in the Department of Library and Information Science, Mangalore University, Mangalagangothri, Mangalore, Karnataka, India. More than 8 years of Technical and HRD experience at INFLIBNET Centre An IUC of UGC, Ahmedabad from 1994 to 2003. More than 29 years of Technical / Professional / Teaching and Research Experience in the field of Library and Information Science. Obtained B.L.I.Sc. degree from Mangalore University, M.L.I.Sc. from IGNOU, CIC from IGNOU, and Ph.D. from Mangalore University. Areas of specialization are Information and Communication Technology, Networking, Internet, Web Technologies, Digital and Electronic Libraries, etc. Published more than One hundred (100) Articles/Papers in national and international journals, conference proceedings, and edited books.
