Thayane Ferreira von Helde
PhD Candidate – Multicentric Graduate Program in Physiological Sciences (PMPGCF) – UFRJ/Macaé · Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ)
Research Interests
Human emotional processing, electrophysiology (EEG), Late Positive Potential (LPP), tonic immobility, and threat-related behavior.
Biography
Thayane Ferreira von Helde is a PhD candidate at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ/Macaé) in the Multicentric Graduate Program in Physiological Sciences. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from the Fluminense Federal University (UFF) and a Master’s degree in Physiology from UFRJ. Her research focuses on the neurophysiological mechanisms of emotional processing, particularly electrophysiological markers such as the Late Positive Potential (LPP) and their relation to threat perception, tonic immobility, and defensive behavior in humans.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from the Fluminense Federal University (UFF). Master’s degree in Physiology from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ). Currently pursuing a PhD in the Multicentric Graduate Program in Physiological Sciences (UFRJ/Macaé), focusing on neurophysiology and emotional processing.
