My doctoral research focused on the molecular analysis of Dioscorea species from the Melghat Tiger Reserve, contributing significantly to the understanding of plant molecular taxonomy and phylogenetic relationships. I have successfully guided seven Ph.D. scholars, with several others currently under supervision. To date, I have published over 30 research papers in reputed national and international journals and have contributed 316 genome sequences to global databases such as BOLD and NCBI.
