Biography
Tariq Khan works as Lecturer cum Junior Research Officer at the Central Institute of Indian Languages (CIIL), Ministry of Education, Government of India. Dr Tariq Khan has received training in Applied Linguistics at the University of Hyderabad. He is interested in Psycholinguistics, Humour Studies, Sociolinguistics, Writing Systems, Translation Studies and Inter-cultural Pragmatics. Prior to the Central Institute of Indian Languages, Dr Tariq Khan worked as a Guest Faculty at the Centre for Applied Linguistics and Translation Studies, the University of Hyderabad where he also received his M.A., M.Phil. and Ph.D. in Applied Linguistics.
