Plankton ecology, Environmental determinants of algal bloom, Trophodynamics in coastal systems, Aquatic pollution, Ocean colour remote sensing.

Biography

I have been working as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Marine Sciences of Berhampur University, India, since October 2021. I have oceanographic teaching and research experience for more than a decade. I have acquired specific skills in plankton taxonomy, algal pigment chromatography, and the analysis of several hydro-biological variables. My research interests include plankton ecology, environmental determinants of algal bloom, trophodynamics in coastal systems, aquatic pollution, and ocean colour remote sensing. I have taken part in several research expeditions in the Indian seas and coastal environments. I have participated in several national and international conferences, symposiums, workshops, and training programmes. I am also a recipient of the DST-SERB National Postdoctoral Fellowship. Before joining Berhampur University, I successfully carried out research at CSIR-IMMT, Chilika Development Authority, INCOIS, and Centurion University of Technology and Management.

Education

M.Sc., M.Phil. and Ph.D. degrees in Marine Sciences from Berhampur University, India
