Biography
Rogério Jerônimo Barbosa is a professor at the Institute of Social and Political Studies (IESP) at the State University of Rio de Janeiro (UERJ). He graduated in Social Sciences from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG), and got his master and doctor degree in Sociology from the University of São Paulo (USP). He held a postdoctoral position in the Department of Political Science at USP and was visiting scholar in the Department of Sociology at Columbia University and Affiliated Scholar at the Brazil Lab at Princeton University. He coordinates the Center for Study of Wealth and Social Stratification (CERES-IESP/UERJ) an currently is an associate researcher at the Center for Metropolitan Studies (USP). His research focuses on income inequality, labor market, social policies and educational inequalities.
