Biography
Dr. Pritesh Chakraborty is an Assistant Professor of English at Maharaja Srischandra College, Shyambazar, Kolkata, West Bengal, India. He is a former Fulbright Foreign Language Teaching Assistant (Hindi) at New York University from 2018 to 2019. He has earned his PhD from West Bengal State University, West Bengal, India. He graduated with his M.Phil. degree from Calcutta University. He is researching superhero comic books of Batman and Indian comics. He has published several articles in national and international journals including Journal of Graphic Novels and Comics (Taylor and Francis), chapters in books and has attended a number of seminars and conferences both in India and abroad. He is interested in creative writing and has published a long story in Kindle Direct Publishing. He has also penned a couple of scripts for comic books (awaiting publication).
