Research Interests
Pediatric Dentistry; oral health conditions and their impact on the quality of life of children and adolescents, both typically developing and those with general health conditions, especially Epidermolysis Bullosa.
Biography
Holds a DDS and a specialization in Pediatric Dentistry. Completed MSc and PhD in Dentistry (Pediatric Dentistry) and postdoctoral training in Epidemiology. Professor at Universidade Ceuma (UNICEUMA) in both undergraduate and graduate programs, and Associate Coordinator of the Graduate Program in Dentistry. Leader of the CNPq Research Group “Núcleo de Pesquisa em Odontologia” and Ad Hoc Consultant for FAPEMA. Research expertise includes Pediatric Dentistry, Cariology, Epidemiology, laboratory testing (microhardness, surface roughness, SEM, microleakage), epidemiological studies, and systematic reviews. Current research focuses on oral diseases/conditions (emphasis on molar–incisor hypomineralization), bioactive materials, oral health–related quality of life, and congenital disorders.
