Biography
Melaku Tafese Awulachew, like most of his contemporaries, was born and raised in rural Ethiopia. He earned a B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering (Process Engineering Stream) from Adama Science and Technology University and went on to the Addis Ababa Institute of Technology's School of Chemical and Bio Engineering for a post-graduate program in Chemical Engineering (Food Engineering Stream). He worked as a researcher at the Ethiopian Institute of Agricultural Research's Directorate of Food Science and Nutrition Research.
Education
B.Sc., M.Sc. in Chemical engineering with specialization of process Engineering, Food Engineering from from Adama Science and Technology University, Ethiopia and Addis Ababa Institute of Technology, Addis Ababa University, Ethiopia respectively.
