Biography
I have worked in marine science and fisheries research for more than ten years. During this time, I have led research on social approach by bringing together relevant stakeholders and management authorities as a key step for understanding main concerns and contributing to proposal management recommendations. To this end, my PhD thesis put forward a more sustainable strategy for future assessment in multi-species fisheries of the Southern Europe where it had been proved fisheries are heavily exploited. In my opinion, an effective integration of the human dimension within research projects is critical to improve the science we do and to achieve sustainable goals.
