Biography
Marina González Sánchez obtained her Chemistry degree in 2017 at the Universidad de Extremadura (UEx) in Badajoz. Her final project, “Synthesis and Reactivity of a Tioisomünchnona Derived from D-Glucosamine,” was carried out under the supervision of Prof. José Luis Jiménez Requejo and Prof. Martín Ávalos González. In 2018, Marina completed her master’s degree in Organic Chemistry at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (UAM). Her research focused on the design and synthesis of multitarget drugs for the treatment of Alzheimer’s Disease, under the supervision of Dr. Juan Antonio Páez Prosper at the Institute of Medicinal Chemistry (IQM-CSIC). In April 2019, she joined the research group of Prof. David González Rodríguez (MSMn) to work on the non-covalent synthesis of self-assembled nanotubes. In 2023, she carried out a predoctoral stay in the group of Prof. Bert Meijer at Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e).
