Biography
Luis Fernando Tipán Vergara (b. June 21, 1982) is an Ecuadorian engineer, professor, and researcher specializing in electrical and electronic engineering. He earned his degree in Electronics and Control Engineering from Escuela Politécnica Nacional in Quito, Ecuador, and later obtained a Master’s in Energy Efficiency from the same institution. With a professional career spanning both academia and industry, Luis Fernando has accumulated extensive experience in the industrial and oil sectors, where he has worked in electrical design, inspection, and maintenance roles. His expertise covers electrical system optimization, automation, and energy efficiency. Since 2015, he has been a professor and researcher at Universidad Politécnica Salesiana (UPS) in Quito, Ecuador, where he teaches courses on energy efficiency, electrical maintenance, the Internet of Things (IoT), and microprocessors.
