Biography
Júlia Vilasís-Pamos is a PhD Candidate at Pompeu Fabra University (UPF, Barcelona, Spain) and a member and researcher at Education and Citizenchip Research Group at Universitat de les Illes Balears (UIB). She is currently finishing her doctoral thesis about the construction of the gamer identity through gender and social class among teenagers, and also researching in different research projects at UPF and UIB. She has published in journals such as Information, Communication & Society, International Journal of Communication, BiD, among others, and presented her work in some national and international congresses such as DiGRA, ECREA, and IAMCR.
