Biography

I am Jeyamurugan S, currently serving as an Assistant Professor of Law at Bharath Institute of Law, with academic and teaching experience in foundational and advanced areas of Indian legal studies. My specialization lies in Family Law and property law. wherein I adopt a case-oriented and interdisciplinary teaching approach aimed at cultivating critical legal reasoning and policy awareness among students. I am qualified for NET for Assistant Professor. My research portfolio reflects a committed engagement with themes of gender justice, personal law reform, and religious endowment governance in India. I have authored multiple peer-reviewed articles, including: • From Immunity to Accountability: The Evolution of Judicial Attitudes Towards Marital Rape in India – Journal of Law and Legal Research Development • The Waqf (Amendment) Act, 2025: A Legislative Comment on Structural Reforms and Constitutional Implications – Indian Journal of Integrated Research in Law.
