Dr. Heena N Makwana

Biography

Dr. Heena N Makwana is working as an Assistant Professor at Department of Law, Veer Narmad South Gujarat University. She joined the department in year 2013. She is among the founding members of the establishment of Department of Law on the VNSGU Campus. She has completed B.Com and LL.B from Maharaja Sayajirao University, Baroda followed by her LL.M with specialization in Criminal Law Group from Gujarat University, Ahmedabad. She has cleared GSLET in subject of Law in year 2015. She was conferred her Doctorate of Philosophy by Veer Narmad South Gujarat University, in 2020, for her thesis “ A Study of the Right of the Children to Free and Compulsory Education Act, 2009,” under the supervision of Dr. Vikram B. Desai. She has several publications to her credit and has attended and presented papers on various topics of Law in National and International level seminars and conferences. She has taught diverse subjects in B.Com, LL.B (Hons.) and LL.M.
