Biography
Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering (1988, Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro). Since 1994 he is Full Professor of Mechanical Engineering at the Federal Fluminense University, Brazil. His main interests in research are in the area of Thermodynamics of Inelastic Materials, acting mainly in the following fields:(i) Inelastic behavior of solids (polymers, metallic alloys and composites); (ii) Damage, Fatigue and Fracture; (iii) Thermomechanical couplings and heat transfer
