Biography
Degree in Biological Sciences from the Federal University of Santa Catarina (2019) and a Master's degree in Oceanography from the Federal University of Santa Catarina (2023). There, the following topics were studied: biological oceanography, climate change, biodiversity and conservation of calcareous macroalgae. Currently, Giovanna is a PhD student at the Oceanographic Institute of the University of São Paulo, where she is developing a project that evaluates the consequences of climate change in Brazilian reef environments, more specifically coral bleaching and reef erosion.
