Biography

Larry B. Friis, D.B.A., is a leadership researcher and executive advisor focused on leadership sustainability, trust, and organizational culture. His work examines how leadership formation influences performance and retention across complex organizations, including healthcare, banking, and mission-driven systems navigating leadership and cultural transformation. Drawing on doctoral research and executive experience, Dr. Friis helps senior leaders and boards identify early indicators of leadership risk before disengagement and turnover occur. Dr. Friis is the founder of the Conscienta Leadership Institute, where he is the principal researcher, author, and speaker. He has been an adjunct instructor since 2004.
