Biography
Brazilian percussionist Eduardo Gianesella played for 29 years (1994 – 2022) at São Paulo Symphony Orchestra and left the orchestra to become a full time percussion teacher at São Paulo State University – UNESP, where he was teaching part time 1993. He is also a member of Percorso Ensemble (contemporary music). He started his percussion studies at Music Conservatory of Tatuí, then graduated at São Paulo State University (UNESP) in 1987, earned a percussion master’s degree from Eastman School of Music (USA) in 1990 and concluded his doctorate at University of São Paulo in 2009. He is also a former member of the Brazilian Symphony Orchestra, the Experimental Repertoire Orchestra and the São Paulo State Symphony Band and has recorded many CDs and has extensevely toured Europe, the 3 Americas, China and Japan with the several groups he has played with.
