Biography
Dr. Likhan Chandra Doley, Ph.D. (Anthropology) and M.A. (Anthropology), is a Research Associate in the Cultural Anthropology Division at the Anthropological Survey of India, Shillong. With over 12 years of teaching experience in government colleges, he has conducted extensive ethnographic research among diverse Indian ethnic communities. His work spans Disaster Anthropology, Religion, Women Studies, Urban Anthropology, and Cultural Anthropology. Dr. Doley has participated in numerous national and international seminars, including events in South Korea. He has published 15 peer-reviewed journal articles, contributed to three edited book chapters, and authored an ISBN-listed book. Recognized for his contributions to arts and literature, he was felicitated on Republic Day 2025 by the Mising Autonomous Council, Assam, for his excellence in the field.
