Biography

Dr. R. Mahendran has been serving as Assistant Professor of English in the School of Humanities, Tamil Nadu Open University (TNOU), Chennai, Tamil Nadu since 27th February, 2014 (AN). He entered into teaching profession as Guest Lecturer in 2004 and had become a full time Assistant Professor in 2010. After successful completion of the Middle School education in Sri Meenashi Government Aided Middle School, Chittirakudi in Thanjavur district that was almost akin to gurukulam, he moved to the Mukkulathore Higher Secondary School, Thiruverambur, Tiruchirappalli district for his High and Higher Secondary education. Armed with a Bachelor’s Degree in English from the Rajah Serfoji Government Arts College*, Thanjavur, he pursued his Master’s in English at the National College* and subsequently the pre-doctoral research degree (M.Phil) at the Jamal Mohamed College*, Tiruchirappallli.
