Biography
Dr. Leena Thombre (PhD, M.Plan, B.Arch) is an Associate Professor at BMS College of Architecture, Design & Planning, Bengaluru, with over a decade of academic and professional experience in architecture and urban planning. A results-driven educator, she fosters creative, discussion-based learning to promote critical and alternative thinking among students. Her teaching areas include Urban Planning, Planning Theory and Techniques, Urban Economics, and Urban Sociology, and she has guided several undergraduate and postgraduate theses. Her research interests include GIS-based spatial analysis, infrastructure accessibility, public open spaces, and inclusive urban–rural planning. She has published in Scopus and UGC CARE–listed journals and has professional experience in municipal, advisory, and community-based urban projects.
