Biography
Md Zafer Alam was born in Darbhanga, Bihar, India. He received his Master’s degree in Physical Chemistry in 2020 from C.M. Science College, Darbhanga (Lalit Narayan Mithila University, a state university). In 2021, he enrolled in the Ph.D. program in Chemistry at Maulana Azad National Urdu University (a central university), where he carried out his doctoral research. During his Ph.D. tenure, he was awarded the Young Scientist Award (2023) by Multani Mal Modi College, Patiala, Punjab, India, and the Best Paper Award (2025) by Maulana Azad National Urdu University. His research focuses on the multistep synthesis of heterocyclic compounds using diverse methodologies and their biological applications, including the investigation of quantum yield, Stokes shifts, and sensing abilities for the detection of toxic metal ions.
