Biography
My research themes are: language variation and change, acquisition of variation and emergence of variable phonological and morphosyntactic patterns of Brazilian Portuguese, processing of variation with a focus on structural correlates and social evaluation of variation, combining assumptions of Usage-Based Models.I am a Professor at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, affiliated to the Department of Linguistics and to the Linguistic Post-Graduate Programme since 1996.
