Biography
Dr. Bakare, Adebola Rafiu teaches in the Department of Political Science, University of Ilorin, Nigeria. He specializes in Comparative Politics. His major research interest is in legislative studies. Other areas of interest include political institutions, security studies, and elections. He has developed a model for legislative assessment which is suitable for assessing lawmaking effectiveness. His sole authorship book titled: National Assembly and Legislative Effectiveness in Nigeria’s Fourth Republic was just published by Palgrave Macmillan, Singapore. He has published in several reputable national and international journals and has contributed chapters in edited books. He is a member of several professional bodies including the Nigerian Political Science Association (NPSA), the Nigerian Society of International Affairs (NSIA), the Nigeria Institute of Management (Chartered) and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Public Diplomacy and Management (CIPDM), among others.
