Biography

Prof. Abhay H Pande is affiliated to the Department of Biotechnology, National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research, SAS Nagar. Prof. Pande completed his M.Sc. degree in Biochemistry (from Nagpur University) and obtained his Ph.D. degree in Life Sciences (from Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya, Indore). He then worked as a post-doctoral researcher at prestigious national and international laboratories. Subsequently, he joined as a Lecturer at the Department of Biological Sciences, BITS-Pilani. Later, Prof. Pande moved to NIPER, SAS Nagar where he established his research group which is involved in the development of protein biopharmaceuticals (https://sites.google.com/site/drabhayhpande). Prof. Pande has extensive experience (> 25 years) in the field of protein research (biochemistry, bioinformatics and biotechnology). He is applying his experience to comprehend the structure and function of clinically important proteins, as well as to engineer and develop therapeutic proteins.
