Biography
I am an Associate Professor (Level 3) at the Faculty of Economics of the Federal University of Pará (UFPA) and a permanent member of the Graduate Program in Natural Resource Management and Local Development in the Amazon (PPGEDAM). My teaching and research focus on economic development, environmental governance, Amazonian frontier dynamics, public policy, socio-environmental conflicts, and ecological economics. I also work on topics such as territorial planning, mining, socioeconomic and environmental indicators, and the economic history of the Amazon. My academic background combines multidisciplinary training in Economics and History, with a Ph.D. and Postdoctoral Fellowship from the Institute of Economics at UNICAMP.
