Prof. (Dr.) Akshat Mehta

Biography

Prof. (Dr.) Akshat Mehta is a double M.A. (in Police Administration and Public Administration); Ph.D. in Public Administration; and UGC NET & JRF in Public Administration. He has more than Fifteen Years of PG Teaching/Research experience. Currently, he is serving as Professor in the School of Police Science and Security Studies at National Forensic Sciences University (An Institution of National Importance under Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India), Gandhinagar, Gujarat. He has been supervising M. Phil. & Ph. D. students on an array of topics in the discipline of Police Administration; Four of his Ph. D. students and Fourteen of his M.Phil. Students have been awarded Degrees so far. Before joining the current University, he had worked as University Dean and Associate Professor, Police Administration at Rashtriya Raksha University, Gandhinagar and Lecturer & Assistant Professor, Police Administration at Centre for Police Administration, Panjab University, Chandigarh.
